INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “MUSEUMS OF SLOVAKIA” WILL BE HELD AT THE EMBASSY OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC ON MAY 29
The conference will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, with the assistance of the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Bulgaria HE Manuel Korcek and with the support of the European Parliament Information Office
On June 29, 2021, within the framework of its project “United Europe and its cultural heritage. Europe and World Cultural Heritage ”, the 199 Foundation organizes the International Conference“ Museums of Slovakia ”. The conference is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, with the assistance of HE Manuel Korcek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic in Sofia and with the support of the Information Office of the European Parliament in Bulgaria.
The event is held in partnership with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Sofia. Heads of Bulgarian museums and museum experts from all over the country are invited to attend the conference, and special guests are Dr. Stefan Engel – Director of the Castle Museum “St. Anton” and Dr. Ingrid Hrichovtsova – an expert in the museum.
The purpose of the meeting is to inform the participants about the historical ties between Bulgaria and Slovakia, which find their intersections in the castle museum “St. Anton”. The guests from Slovakia will present the activities of the museum and its original exhibits and collections related to an important period in the life of King Ferdinand I of Bulgaria. On Monday, June 28, 2021, from 10.00 am in the park “Vrana” will be planted a special type of tree – “paper tree”, which will remain a symbol of long-term and lasting ties between Bulgaria and Slovakia.
IMPORTANT! Due to the epidemiological situation, the places for participation in the conference had to be limited and are already occupied by the participants. It is not possible to accept additional people willing to attend the event.
