RAM Plovdiv: “Discoveries 2024. Archaeology and the Law”

For the fourth consecutive year, the “Discoveries” exhibition is one of the most intriguing exhibitions that the Regional Archaeological Museum – Plovdiv has realised. The results of the archaeological research conducted in 2024 in the city of Plovdiv are presented. The exhibition includes 108 finds from 16 sites. The main focus of “Discoveries” is the head of the city goddess of Philippopolis, which is considered the personification of ancient Plovdiv.

The subtheme of this year’s exhibition is the relationship between archaeology and law – their role and significance in the preservation of movable and immovable cultural heritage, as well as the related procedures in conducting archaeological observations and excavations.
