Museums in the capital will be closed for Christmas. However, part of the museum institutions will work on some of the official holidays. This indicates a BTA check.
The exposition of the National Military History Museum (NVIM) will not work from December 24 to 28, including from December 31 to January 3, according to the National Military History Museum. A visit to the museum can be made on December 29 and 30, as well as from January 4, when the museum will operate with its usual schedule for visitors from Wednesday to Sunday. The National Museum “Land and People” will be closed from December 24 to 28, as well as from December 31 to January 2, inclusive. The working schedule of the “Intergeoresurs” store located in the museum building is different. It will be closed on December 25th and January 1st. The National Museum of Natural History at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will be open on holiday on December 24 and 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The museum will be closed on December 25 and January 1. The exposition of the National Polytechnic Museum (NPTM) will not accept visitors from December 24 to 28. NPTM will work on December 29, 30 and 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On December 31, entry for all children and students will be free. The National Archaeological Museum will not receive visitors from December 24 to 26, as well as January 1 and 2. The permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions in the central building of the Regional History Museum in the capital (ROME-Sofia) will be open from December 27 to 30. The museum will be closed on December 24, 25 and 26, as well as December 31, January 1 and 2. On working days in December, ROME-Sofia invites citizens to visit the “Heritage of Antiquity” hall, part of the permanent exhibition, which from January 2023 will be closed for visits for several months due to renovation.
