Greetings from the International Centre for the Interpretation and Presentation of World Heritage Sites under the auspices of UNESCO (WHIPIC).
WHIPIC is inviting you to the 2022 WHIPIC Online Lecture and Webinar Series.
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention,
the WHIPIC is holding 2 Webinars and 3 Lectures between 25 August and 10 November under the theme of ‘Bridging the Gap: 50 Years of the World Heritage Convention’. Throughout the programmes, there will be presentations and discussions centred on often overlooked areas in the implementation of the World Heritage Convention and the role heritage interpretation can play to rectify those gaps while also reflecting on the past 50 years of the Convention.
The upcoming session, which will be held on 10 November at 09:00 CET / 17:00 KST, is “ The Directions of Heritage Interpretation in World Heritage Policy”. The panels of the webinar will be Joseph King (ICCROM), Gautam Talukdar (WII UNESCO Category 2 Centre), and Hyunkyung Lee (Sogang University). There will be a Q&A session with public participants as well, so please join the webinar and share your ideas and thoughts with us.
At this webinar, particularly we are releasing the result of the WHIPIC’s one-word survey for the 50th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention! More than 120 people around the world has participated in the poll!
