The installation represents the disintegration of society, its fragmentation through the ‘fission’ of the Self into opposing values and emotions. Human blundering in the extreme and the pendulum of personal and group emotion are reflected in the ‘special’ mirror of infinity. Two half-heads, half-faces in a mirrored chamber-cube represent two polar-opposite emotions. The sculptures, cut in half and placed next to each other, recreate joy and anger. Their reflection makes each one a whole. The viewer sees himself among them in the infinite mirror. Together, they become a swarm of endlessly alternating emotions.
