Traditional Crafts Week at REM Plovdiv – Bulgarian National Committee of ICOM

DEAR COLLEAGUES,

This year too, the Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv gathers master craftsmen, our “living human treasures” to participate in the 17th edition of the “Week of Traditional Crafts” – 2025. This event has become traditional over the years, which the participants and guests of the museum eagerly await.

Over the years, masters from different countries have participated, attracted by the atmosphere here, but also by the museum’s efforts to focus on masters in every craft.
This year, our guests will be the representatives of the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and representatives from all European countries dealing with the problems of protecting manual labour and crafts.

In this regard, we most politely invite you to attend the opening of the “Week of Traditional Crafts” – 2025 by Deputy. the Mayor of Plovdiv Municipality – Mr. Plamen Panov on 01.07.25 from 12.00 and the welcome of the Mayor of Plovdiv – Mr. Kostadin Dimitrov to the visitors and our guests from the patent offices of the EU countries and the Republic of Bulgaria on 02.07.2025 from 11.30 in the courtyard of the Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv.
