  • Characterisation of materials and assessment of conservation interventions – development of standardized methods for analyzing the condition of objects – cultural values, and assessment of the materials and techniques used for restoration and conservation;
  • Measurement and control of climatic conditions – guidelines for monitoring the internal and external climatic environment and its impact on cultural heritage;
  • Common conservation processes and terminology – standardisation of basic concepts and practices in the field of conservation of tangible cultural heritage;
  • Management and monitoring of immovable cultural heritage – development of methods for assessment, sustainable management and control of climatic and energy factors affecting immovable cultural heritage;
  • Characterisation and conservation of archaeological sites – development of approaches for documentation, preservation and interpretation of archaeological finds;
  • Management and protection of museum and archival collections – creation of standards for storage, display and transportation of movable cultural property, taking into account the impact of the environment.
